how can I change the music format from ACC to MP3 so I can transfer music to my GPS
my music in iTunes is in ACC format I need to convert it to MP3's for my GPS device

Set your import preferences to MP3 and then right-click the track and select Create MP3 version. For more details see this document:

Note that the conversion process creates a new MP3 and leaves the original AAC in place. Make sure you are using the new MP3 for your GPS.
