Q: Payment method not working

I cannot download any apps on my iPad Air. It keeps telling me to verify payment method and when I do it keeps saying declined. I know I have money on the card and don't know how to fix this. I can't even update anything.

Is it a debit card? if so I dont' think they work.
Payment methods you can use in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support

If all you have is a debit card then your best bet would be to purchase an iTunes gift card and use that. I was never comfortable using my credit card so all I ever use is a gift card.

I have always used this card. And it doesn't matter what card I put in, it always tells me it cannot verify my payment info. This started about a month ago.
