Im trying to move my back up data over from cloud from my 5 to my new 6 and it wouldn't allow me do to different sw.. help

If the 5 has a higher version than the 6, you need to set up the 6 as new, update to the latest level, do an Erase Contents & Settings, then Restore from the backup. You will find that restoring will be much more complete and will occur much faster if you redo the 5's backup using iTunes on a computer (Mac preferred), storing it on the local drive instead of the iCloud. Make sure it has a password (encrypted) and everything will get passed over. Of course, this assumes you still have the 5 on hand.
