Can I recover my files (specifically iphoto pictures) even if i'm on Recovery Mode? My macbook air mid-2012 just crashed.

Hi,

I have no backup of my macbook files, specifically pictures on iphotos. My macbook crashed due to system error, I think I deleted some system files. I rebooted my Mac and entered Recovery Mode (can't run safe mode as well 😟).

I reinstalled Mac OS X Mountain Lion but when I entered my apple ID, it always says that it's temporarily not available. It's been like that for days now, no matter where I connect my laptop.

Specifications are as follows:

Macbook air 11", mid-2012

64gb SSD

OS X 10.8.5

Would it be possible to recover my pictures even on recovery mode? Before I wipe out my hard drive, I'd like to save a backup of all my pictures if possible 😟
