Unable to access rescue email, how do I change it?

I no longer have access to my old rescue email, and I don't remember my security questions. My question is how do I reset the email without my security questions. Or do I have to to see the geniuses?

iPhone 4, iOS 7.1.2

You can contact Apple Support to have your Security Questions reset:

ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT NUMBERS

You will not be able to reset your Rescue email address until you are able to get into your account. Once you have gotten your Security Questions reset, the following Support Article may be of help for resetting your Rescue email address:

Manage Primary, Rescue, Alternate, and Notification email addresses
