Only 2012 and older ones have a built in DVD drive. This is the only 'new' one you can purchase from Apple:

Note that any external DVD drive will work with a MBP, whether it has an internal one or not.

Ciao.

That version of the MacBook Pro suggested by Oglethorpe is your only choice for a new MacBook Pro. If you go that route, I strongly suggest that you option for a SSD over the standard 5400 rpm HD. In the case of the RAM, this is the last MacBook Pro with user upgradable RAM, but you should consider getting to at least 8 Gigs of RAM at time of purchase.

Hi osssaaaarrrr,

If you are looking for a new MacBook, the MacBook Pro comes with a built in 8x SuperDrive.

Head over to - http://store.apple.com/uk/buy-mac/macbook-pro - and scroll down to 'MacBook Pro Tech Specs' to view.

As some of the other guys have highlighted, an external CD/DVD drive such as theApple USB SuperDrivewill work just fine on MacBook's that don't already come with one built in. They work just as well, and won't restrict you to which MacBook you can purchase. (The new models are beautiful!)

Good luck 🙂
