Mail app won't open

IiPad has been slow to type emails for some time. Now seems email app has crashed as it won't open. Just get the framework for the app, emails won't load then it disappears Any ideas how to fix please? Rebooted and updated but no luck.

Hi. Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on device.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

FFirst thing I tried and hasn't worked. Any other suggestions?
