Cannot perform a hardware test on my late 2012 Macbook Pro.

Cannot perform a hardware test on my late 2012 Macbook Pro. Whenever I restart the machine while the D key is pressed, I get an error "apple.com/support-4403D

I think the problem is that the machine is trying to perform the test using an internet connection. Even though I'm fully connected, for some reason it's not able to to go through. Any ideas how to fix this?
