MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012) battery not charging

Hi,

Today, for no particular reason, my battery stopped charging. The notebook works when connected to mains power but the battery doesn't charge. The battery symbol on the top right is black with a lightening symbol and the charge is stuck at 5%.

I tried resetting the SMC by pressing left-shift+ctrl+power while charger is plugged in and computer running and also left-shift+ctrl+alt+power when the computer is shutdown, both didn't work. There is no light on the magsafe charger.
