How to keep audio stream from turning off

we are attempting to stream audio via an HTML 5 website. The issue we ran in to is that the iPhone appears to timeout after 10-15 of streaming audio. we have found that we do not have any timeout issues on desktop computers. I am not a programmer so any assistance whould go a long way to helping us find a solution for this issue.
