we have 6 network printers that are identical. when we try print form ipad or ipad2 all printers are listed (HP laserjet P1606) but can't figure out which one is which. how can I identify which one? is there a way to rename them on ipad.

I'd look at renaming the printers.

My printers were in domain and have different shared name, but ipad would list them all as Laser jet P1606. find out that by going to web interface of printers and changing the Bonjour Name to the share name or any name you like it would list the correct name on ipads.
