my macbook pro cursor suddenly stopped responding. I tried forced restart, resetting SMC and PRAM..nothing seemed to have worked so far. Help please.

My macbook pro 15 mouse cursor stopped responding entirely. Did restart, forced shutdowns, resetting SMC and PRAM. Still when the login screen comes up, the cursor is stuck in the upper left corner. Even after logging in, the cursor is still in the same place and would not move or respond to any events. Please help.
