Cannot browse network share points when Time Machine Service is enabled

With Time machine service disabled, SMB encrypted share points can be browsed in the finder on client machines. Once Time Machine Service is started, the clients can no longer see the share in the finder. You can attached to the share point using connect to server.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is there a fix out there somewhere?

Thanks in advance.
