Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I received an email saying I need additional space in iCloud and that I could pay a monthly fee for this.
Where can I go to see why I need this??

Apple Menu->System Preferences->iCloud
It will tell you how much iCloud storage you are using, and how much you have left.
What are you storing in iCloud currently?
Do you have iOS devices like iPhones or iPads that are being backed up to iCloud?
I checked what I have etc.....Assuming the first 20 GB's are free, I have 11.58 GB in photos and video, the rest is minor. I have 6.21 GB left so I cancelled the monthly fee. That is if the 20 GB's are free.

The free account is 5GB, not 20GB. 20GB (total, not additional) is $0.99 per month, 200GB is $3.99, 500GB is $9.99 and iTB $19.99. (UK £0.79, £2.99, £6.99. £14.99; other countries detailed here.)
