Aug 6, 2015 4:31 PM in response to ATP_JDby Dgnentps,II have a similar issue. About one hour in to a run, the connection between iPhone on my right arm and powerbeats receiver (in left ear) gets spotty. When I switch iPhone to left arm, problem is resolved. What is confusing is why it will last an hour without incident.

Aug 10, 2015 3:24 PM in response to leroyisaacby The_Mask,I have the same problem, as I was noticing notifications are not coming to the watch when powerbeats 2 is connected. I hope this issue will be resolve soon so we can enjoy both.

Aug 12, 2015 1:23 PM in response to leroyisaacby BoilerMark,I am having the same issue at the gym with Bluetooth. They sent me new Powerbeats 2 thinking the headset was the problem. And I think it may be as I am having the same issue again. I usually pair it to my Apple Watch. It cuts out at the gym and also when running in crowded races. So it seems like any area where many devices may be recognizing the signal it could be a problem. My Tickr heart rate monitor has the same issue at the gym. Sometimes I pair my headset and monitor outside or in the locker room first then hit the gym floor. This seems to work some of the time. Really annoying issue, hope Apple has a fix soon. I have had just about every issue described in this thread at some point. Sadly if its a hardware issue unless they do a recall we are SOL.

Aug 17, 2015 6:37 AM in response to leroyisaacby Shazzlea,I am also having the same problem! I was about to go hunting for my receipt for my JBL Synchros Reflect BT, only maybe 2 months old.
So my watch is on my left arm and the controller for the headphones is on the left ear. Even when I took my phone and paired the headphones with the phone, it was dropping in and out like crazy and eventually turned itself off due to trying to connect.
So my predicament is take the JBL's back for a refund or is it the watch and phone trying to fight for connection.
What the **** do i do to make it work. I'm only trying to listen to music whilst on a walk, not jogging.
Hopefully someone will know an answer to this coz i'm sure i'm not the only one wanting value for the high prices we pay for our gadgets!

Aug 17, 2015 7:42 AM in response to Shazzleaby robotinthecape,Yes I also have JBL Synchros BT. Their BT receiver is in the right earbud, not in the control. And also my was dropping connection more and more and then just died 3 weeks after purchase! So I went to the store and they changed them for me, now better but still drops sometimes on the left whirst. But as I was told in some shops all JBL Synchros BT have bad BT connection, so they're pretty ****** quality. Also as I discover more and more seems problem cannot be solved because of the bluetooth technology, need wait for NFS-enabled Apple Watch, I guess
For today problems seen with:
- Powerbeats 2
- JBL Synchros Reflect BT
- Plantronics BackBeat Go 2
- Plantronics Backbeat FIT
- Mpow Petrel Bluetooth 4.0
- QY7
Anyone know really good BT earbuds to work with Apple Watch?

Aug 18, 2015 1:51 PM in response to mtbRiderNCby mtbRiderNC,Knock on wood...but I haven't had a dropping issue for about 3 to 4 weeks. The only thing different have been app updates. My gut feeling is it has to do with a health tracking app and health kit though I have no proof. Anyone else have the same experience?

Sep 1, 2015 11:09 AM in response to leroyisaacby Minto the Snowdog,I have the same problem with Powerbeats 2 and my 1 week old Apple Watch.
The earphones are totally useless when paired with the watch when I'm running and using Runkeeper app.
Very disappointed.

Sep 11, 2015 4:58 AM in response to leroyisaacby jjdaley,Same thing with Jaybird bluetooth headphones. Maddening during a workout. Sounds like a bluetooth power level and interference. Dropouts are less evident out in the open but in the gym or on a treadmill this is dysfunctional functionality. Winter is coming so I hope watch os2 improves this issue.

Oct 1, 2015 7:53 PM in response to leroyisaacby Kschoed,I have this issue as well with my Plantronics BackBeat Fit Bluetooth headphones. It drops while holding the lawnmower and cutting grass. Drops occasionally while working out at the gym.
I expected more reliable connection.
Model MJ2X2LL/A, version 2.0

Oct 19, 2015 11:50 AM in response to leroyisaacby la2kw,Same thing is happening to me. Two different types of headphones, but of which work fine with the phone, but keep dropping when paired with the watch. Talk about misleading information by apple. This is supposed to be one of the features of the watch.

Oct 20, 2015 5:07 PM in response to leroyisaacby Cowboy1629,Very disappointing to read all of these posts, I thought I just had a bad Powerbeats 2 Wireless unit. The first couple of times I used mine was outside. The first day no drop out at all but to be honest I'm not sure if I had it paired with my Watch or iPhone 6s since I was still learning how to load music to the Watch and pair the headset. The second use outside I had left my iPhone in the garage so I know I was paired with the Watch and noticed that Beats dropped out a couple of times when I was near the garage so I thought maybe the Watch or Beats was trying to pair with the iPhone when I was in range. The next time I unpaired Beats from my iPhone and had fewer dropouts but still not perfect but then again maybe the Watch was trying to connect with the iPhone or the home network.
Last night at work I left my iPhone in my locker while I worked out on the treadmill, iPhone still unpaired from Beats. Beats dropped out 2-3 times per song! This was my first time using them inside while exercising. Today I read on Beats website how to reset the headset, I did that and I have restarted my Watch so I will give it a shot on the treadmill again tonight to see what happens. If this doesn't work I will try some of the other suggestion on here such as moving the Watch to my right wrist.
If all else fails they will be going back to Amazon! If I have to carry my iPhone for music I might as well use wired earbuds!

Oct 21, 2015 12:04 AM in response to Cowboy1629by Cowboy1629,UPDATE from my previous post...
I spent an hour on the treadmill tonight playing music from my Watch to the wireless Powerbeats 2 and running the workout app on the Watch without the first skip, shutter, dropout, or anything! I even received emails and texts while on the machine without any issues. I had my iPhone in range but I had already unpaired it from Beats just in case that was part of the problem.
The only thing different tonight than last night, besides having the iPhone in the workout room with me, I had done a reset on the Powerbeats 2 Wireless unit as described on their website earlier in the day and I did a force reset on my Watch shortly after. Other than that nothing is different than last night and like I said it was dropping out 2-3 times per song last night!
I hope this is all it was because it sure was enjoyable not having to screw around with it tonight. Hope this helps others as well.

Oct 28, 2015 8:30 PM in response to leroyisaacby Glen_Syd,I have the same problem. Beats work fine connected directly to iPhone but continually drop-out & reconnect with Apple Watch (v2.0.01).

Nov 5, 2015 8:50 AM in response to Glen_Sydby dinkola,I have the same problem using an iPhone4s and Powerbeats2, wont last more than 10-15mins without disconnecting. Im not currently using the iWatch at all.
There are reset details for the powerbeats2 listed on https://uk.beatsbydre.com/support/troubleshooting/powerbeats/reset-powerbeats2-w ireless.html, along with a link to check/update the firmware. Im going to try that later myself to see if it helps
