Text Message with Ford Sync on iOS 8.3 Profile

Up until 8.3 my iPhone connected to the Ford Sync system in my car for phone, audio and text messaging. Since the update the phone and audio works fine, but the Sync system states that the profile on my phone does not support the text messaging protocol. I tried resetting all my network settings as suggested on another help topic, but that did not fix the issue. I'm out of ideas now.

Same with the GM Intelilink can get it read text but cannot reply

I figured it out. Somehow the notifications setting for Bluetooth was turned off. I didn't think of a text as a notification but turning it on did the trick. As far sending messages, Apple doesn't support that yet. Only receiving, but I wasn't able to do that.
