Sending only partial texts to android phones?

I have an iPhone 5S and over the past few days, some of my contacts with android phones have been telling me that they sometimes only receive portions of my texts. What they get of what I wrote seems pretty random, and can start and end mid-sentence or even mid-word. Supposedly there are strange, unintelligible characters as well. And it seems to happen whether or not I use emojis in my texts. Is anyone else having similar problems? Any idea what could be causing it and how to fix it? Thanks!
