Go Back from Apple Photos to iPhoto is easy...

You do not like Photos from Apple ? Do you wish to come back to iPhoto ? It is really easy with Time Machine. I did it today. It just took 5 hours with my iMac. You just need to go back to a previous version of Mac OS X. The answer is here :

• English version : https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18846?locale=fr_FR&viewlocale=en_US.

• French version : https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18846?locale=fr_FR&viewlocale=fr_FR.

Of course, choose the last version of Mac Os X you saved just BEFORE you passed from iPhoto to Photos.

Cheers

It's even easier as all you need to do is to download iPhoto 9.6.1 from the App Store because it is compatible with 10.10.3. Just follow the directions posted by Terence Devlin in this post:

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1

If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash

Install the App from the App Store.

Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
