re-synching first gen Apple TV

Hello everyone,

I have a collection of photos stored on the hard-drive for my first generation Apple TV. I would like to retrieve those photos and put on a different collection of photos, so that this new collection can serve as a screensaver. Does anyone know how to re-synch like this such that I don't lose the original collection?
