uploading from photos to websites

Since moving from iphoto to photos I am unable to upload (or indeed find at all) pictures to websites. I click upload photos as always and in the finder I see Media and photos but although I have photographs in there that are from my canon camera they do not appear when uploading to a website. I have to save them in a file in documents and get them from there - therefore having two copies of any photos I want to use! Website I use are viewbug and 500xp
