Can I save a Pages document on my computer?

Open your document. Hold down the OPTION key as you select Save As from the file menu. Select the location on your computer where you wish to save the document then click on the Save button.

Where would one save it to: Documents? Anywhere else, where best? What do you suggest?

If do not want to save Pages, word processing documents to iCloud at all,

do I indicate this in System Preferences -iCloud, and then follow procedure you describe

to save it on computer?

Usually, one saves documents in the Documents folder. You can also create a folder within Documents to save Pages documents. If you don't wish to use the cloud then open iCloud preferences and uncheck the appropriate option.

None of these solutions work for me. I was able to save Pages docs all the time and then suddenly i get the error message "Couldn't auto-save document. Your most recent changes might be lost."

Option - save or save as doesn't work. Obviously, I need help asap.
