Can I access a photos library on a different disk?

I have built a Photos Library on a different disk for a iMovie project, but now I can't figure out how to access that photos library within iMovie. The only photos library it is seeing is the system photos library. Is there a way to get it to see other libraries?

  • Quit Photos.
  • Hold down the Option key, then open Photos. One of the photo libraries is already designated as YourLibraryName (System Photo Library).
  • Choose the library you want to designate as the System Photo Library.
  • After Photos opens the library, choose Photos > Preferences from the menu bar.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Click the Use as System Photo Library button.
