Problem with Blue Font Color - eMail Reply

Hi,

I noticed that if somebody replies to my email using Microsoft Outlook, if the reply font is blue, then I cannot be read in the watch. Microsoft Outlook by default replies with blue letter fonts. Have anyone seen this before?

Thanks,

Mariela

Ive searched everywhere for some settings to rectify but can't find any.

I agree - the blue on the black background is mostly unreadable for the likes of me at my age!!!

Anyone know of any work around?

I want to clarify that this only happens to me when I'm outdoors with direct sunlight over the watch and for some reason my watch doesn't auto adjust the contrast so I can't read the email message, if colored fonts are used. When I'm indoors I can see the blue or other color font without problems. So maybe this is related to the contrast of the watch?

Reading email replies in blue text can be made a little easier by going to My Watch>General>Accessibility and turning Reduce Transparency ON. This is in the Apple Watch app on the connected iPhone - there isn't an equivalent setting in the watch settings.

This doesn't make blue (or other dark-coloured) text easy to read, just slightly easier.

Thanks AndyO. I will try your suggestion.

I wonder why this thread says "solved" when isn't. I guess I clicked the wrong button.

As the original poster, you have buttons on each reply which are visible to only you, and which allow you to mark posts as 'helpful' in solving your problem, or as having solved the problem. You must have clicked the 'solved' button - once you do that, the thread is marked as solved and the post you marked is highlighted in the thread as the one that solved the issue for you.

This is getting very old

Mr/Mrs Apple do not reside here. This is a user to user support forum. Feedback to Apple goes HERE, and click on the appropriate subject area. However, the way I read it, it has to do with the sender's font, not a setting on the watch.
