Question for macbook pro battery

Im am new with mac,

I wanna to ask what is better for the battery life.

-To use the mac while I'm connecting to the charger all the time

-To use the mac until the battery is empty and only than charge it full time.

You can leave the computer connected to the charger most of teh time BUT use the computer on battery a few times a week to keep the battery healthy. Like a muscle, a battery can weaken in not used.


Best practice is to recharge the battery when it gets between 20 and 50 percent. Complete discharging was used for calibration in older MacBook Pros, but those made for the last 6-7 years do not require calibration; repeatedly running them to "empty" can damage them.
