I have a iphone 4s. I am using ios 8.2

My 4S (that i had from November 2011 until last week) did much the same thing on a semi-regular basis. It did not seem to matter whether it was charging off a wall plug, computer, or my radio adapter. After unplugging it would cool down fairly quickly. It did not seem to affect battery life or phone performance, and was never soooo hot that i was worried. It is still in use, having been passed down to junior staff (and i got a iP6!). I would keep tabs and see if it appears to happen when charging off a particular device, then endeavor to use something else.
