Internet Connection Drops When I Plug In to Recharge

After a week of extensive troubleshooting (and, honestly, cursing), I am back online (not sure how, exactly) after upgrading my MBP (late 2013) to Yosemite and losing the capacity to connect to the Internet via WiFi.

The only lingering issue is when I plug in to recharge I lose connection to the Internet. It happens both when on WiFi and when directly plugged in through the modem.

Any thoughts?
