Location does not appear in Astronomy face

I Have the same problem. Just noticed the earth on astronomy face is not showing the green dot of my location. I've also noticed that the sunrise/ sunset times are not showing up in the watch faces either just blank.. Have tried

- rebooting phone

- rebooting watch

- turning off location services and back on

- turnng Bluetooth on phone off and back on.

- Unpairing the watch with the phone then re- pairing them again,

curiously, the map app on watch shows my location fine, the weather apps lists my location accurately but when I add the complication for sunrise/ sunset time to the watch face it draws a blank. The earth globe in the astronomy watch face is centred over the California region but I'm n Melbourne Australia.. The last time I looked at this watch face a few days ago, it showed my location fine in the the globe and had a dot where my location is.

Make sure that you have relatively strong Wifi and Cell service. Try turning WiFi off and on on your phone and this might fix your problem.

I ran into the same issue and turning WiFi on helped me to fix the issue.

I have a version of this too, except my location dot is stuck in a place I have left. I find a combination of all of the suggestions above does eventually "jolt" the watch - and being on an open wifi (or cell) seems to be necessary as opposed to one with a landing page or some other kind of managed access.

In the event that the green dot is stuck in a location that you have left you could do the following to reset your location and/or speed up the process of resetting your location.This will not only ensure that the green dot appears on the correct location, but also corrects the sun rise/set times as well.

Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on your phone

If that doesn't reset the location of your watch, try the following steps

• On your phone
  • Settings > Privacy > Location Services
  • Ensure that Apple Watch Faces have Location Access while using the app
  • Then go to System Services and toggle Wi-Fi networking off and on
  • Go back to Privacy and toggle location services off and on
  • Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on
• Then restart your apple watch

This should speed up the process of resetting the location on your watch.

So that set of instructions worked. But I think it was simply the "Toggle Wi-Fi off and on on your phone."

What I'm curious about is the notion of ensuring that apple watch faces have location access while using the app. WHERE does one do that? I could find no place in the phone or the watch where I could specifically turn on location access for watch faces. Where is that?

You were already there: Settings > Privacy > Location Services

Apple Watch Faces is included in the list of apps.

Thanks. I'd looked there, but had glided right past that option, string me in the face. As it happens, it was set correctly. So it really was the toggling of wi-fi (which doesn't seem like something that should be necessary, but that's another matter.)
