apple tv asking me to choose wifi network or apple tv no means to choose'

I cannot access the main menu on Apple Tv - the screen saver has come up and super imposed on it is an invitation to choose between 1. WIFI network or 2. Apple Tv with no means to choose either 1 or 2

Apple TV (3rd generation), iOS 8.2
