Both iPhoto and Aperture work with the current version of Yosemite (OS X 10.10.3). You may want to post more details of what is happening.
what exact problem are you having -- both run fine on OS X 10.10.3 if you have the proper versions - for iPhoto see Why won't my iPhotos open?
