My Artists names are different on my Ipod then from my Library and its very frustrating. Please Help

My Artists names are different on my Ipod then from my Library and its very frustrating, for example a few of my Misfits songs are under an artist named "the alliance" whereas in my library they are under Misfits. And there are bout 30 songs under "Various artists" but on my library they are under their correct artist name. Another example, I have about 40 Bob Marley songs all under "Bob Marley" in my library but on my new ipod it shows up under Bob Marley and the Wailers, Bob Marley & the Wailers, etc. Its very frustrating.Please help. Thank u.
