I understand that your iPad seems to be randomly resetting itself. In this situation, I would recommend reading over and using the attached article as a reference for troubleshooting this situation.

I did a complete reset (Erase All Content and Settings), and the problem continues. I guess my next step is to take it up with Apple Support.
