Hello all,
i do a lot of hiking and biking etc and I am looking for an app I can turn on, on an as needed basis to allow my loved ones to know where I am in case I were to ever crash or need help.
Can anyone recommend an app like this?

It sounds like you are needing an app that will allow select people to locate you on a map, and be able to only have it turned on when you want it. You can use Find My Friends on an iPhone to do that. You can even hide your location in the interrim when you do not need it. Here is some more info on how to get that setup:
