Where are genius suggestions in iTunes 12?

Exactly, me too I used to buy $$$$ worth of music, but now I don't bother I just got to Youtube to find my music. iTunes has become very frustrating. Please iTunes bring back the old version of Genius which used to bring up about 9 suggestions similar to the song I just purchased.

It is now on the right side as "recommended for you" it will take you to all your genius suggestions

No, in the older versions there would be a column on the right that would give suggestions similar to any *single* song that you picked. I think that's what the OP is looking for, and what I'm looking for right now.

The "suggestions" feature that you point out is too general. Way too general - one album suggestion because I bought another album. I don't need that.

I bought tons of songs off the old genius recommendations, I sure hope they didn't '86 it.

Select a song. Click the small circle with the three dots. Click Genius Suggestions.

Seriously, not that. That gives suggestions from *my own* library.

There used to be a sidebar you could bring up on the right side which gave about 10, 15 suggestions *from the itunes store* that were similar to the *selected song* in one's own library.

That's what Trainwrecks and I are looking for.

Ah, I think the old genius sidebar has long since gone, with nothing that serves as a direct replacement.

Okay then. That's what the internet seems to be telling me too.

I bought a *lot* of music from that sidebar, as I suspect others did too. I can only assume that Apple ran the numbers on it and determined it wasn't profitable.

Three days ago in the a.m., I created 2 genius playlists on my new iMac. Then I updated to iTunes 12.....and now every song no longer has a Genius suggestion....every song. Yet on my MacBook Pro, every song DOES have a Genius suggestion. What gives?

What version of iTunes were you running before? The current version is 12.2 and includes Apple Music, Apple's new streaming music service. Some aspects of the Genius feature set from earlier versions of iTunes would appear to have been retired.

that's the path that takes you there, but it's empty. No recommendations.

I'm with the others on this one. I purchased a lot of music based on the recommendations. Hope apple is reading this thread. It's sad to see a good feature get 86ed.

After a bunch of searches on this topic, plus an unresponsive Apple, either they are working on it (I hope) or they are going to s**t can it. I think this a valuable feature, so for the life of me, I don't know why they would eliminate it. If anyone finds out more, please post!

It now works. Not sure if this feature was not working before, but it now works? Yahoo. Just purchased 4 new albums. I just wish someone from iTunes or Apple would just say, be patient, we're working on it.

I Couldn't agree more...I bought TONS of songs as a result of the OLD genius recommendations...COME ON APPLE!!!!!

OUCH, I bought a very lot of songs a good while ago using that Genius recommendation thing.

And I paid for them, Apple must have been happy with that.

Why did they delete that option?

Now we have to relay on YouTube, and other sites.
