printers won't print

I cannot print (at least not what is on my screen) to either of our printers from my MacBook Pro Retina.

The printers either advance a completely blank page, or a page with the top ⅓ of the page printed & the rest blank.

We have two HP printers:

  • Officejet Pro 8000 A809 [FE24A7]
  • Photosmart Pro B9100 series [52A54B ]

At times, I'll get a message about "the wrong paper size", but it's the same 8 ½ x 11 copy paper that I always use.

Any suggestions as to how to resolve this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor

Hi ApostrapheS,

If you are having an issue with being unable to print from your MacBook Pro, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
