Mid 2010 Macbook Pro - disk drive not working.
Why won't this work ? Do I need to buy another external one or could the settings be off.
When a cd, dvd, blank, any type of disk is inserted--->> it spits it out.

It requires repair or replacing. Or you can buy an external optical drive for USB or Firewire. This can also happen if the discs are damaged, dirty, smudged, or scratched.
