Aug 30, 2016 11:22 AM in response to TahoeCby Simplyjill,I Just read this today and may have found a solution. I too was frustrated with this and even sent watch in to apple and had it checked out. They said it was all good. i did however find a setting that changed the logging of the exercise ring. I golf 18 holes and walk it and I didn't get hardly any measurement on the exercise ring but today it did
Here is the setting that I changed. Go into your watch app - go to workout app - look for Pace/Speed View setting and change it to average. Today while golfing I logged 4 hours of exercise

Sep 8, 2016 5:52 PM in response to TahoeCby asloan,I have done all the reset un-pair what not for the watch and I still find that I don't understand the metric being recorded here. On my watch whenever I am done with a 2 to 2.5 mile walk and I end and save, the exercise ring will go all the way around and then some. When I check it later it will have backed off and credited me with half the exercise goal for the day. I hope that the Nike+ version works a bit better than the Apple watch does. I loved my Nike GPS watch and only came to the Apple watch for the heart rate function. I have been pretty disappointed so far.
