Apple keyboard not responding

Hi

Just updated my Macbook Pro running 10.10.3 and it will not find my USB apple keyboard, tried searching for in in the system preferences with the "change keyborad type..." option.

Also done the usual, un plug, restart, dirfferent port etc.

Any ideas?
