I want something simple. I want to have the newest photos at the top. Not at the bottom.

View Menu -> Sort Photos -> Descending

OK, I must be having a really bad day .. I honestly can not find SORT PHOTOS, in any of the view menu options.
Is it called something different in photos?
There is no sort option in Photos - you posted in the ipHtoo for Mac forum and state that you have OS X 10.9.3 which will not run Photos - only iPhoto
To get help you have to provide accurate context and details - and post in the proper forum = Photos is under the OS X section since the new photos program is part of the OS rather than a separate package lie iphoto was
