I''m using Yosemite 10.10.3 iPhoto 11. I have some faces with the first and last names and the same people with only the first names. I would like to combine these sets of faces but they won't merge.

On the Faces tile, select the stack of faces, that you want to merge into the other faces stack and click into the textfield with the name. Write the correct name into this stack, that you want to assign to the faces in the stack. The stacks will merge, when the names are the same.
