My wife has just bough a new iPhone 6 plus.
She has sent me some video via email.
When it arrives at my iMac the resolution is quite poor. 568 x 320. It's as a MOV file.
Is there a better way to transfer files and keep to a higher resolution?

Do you know what resolution the video is recorded at on the iPhone 6 plus?
I see there is an option for 720p, but is it better quality with that option turned off?
1080 at up to 60FPS.
720 at 240 FPS for slow motion.

Would setting it on mean slow motion? Also what is the setting with it switched off?
60FPS is just double the NTSC 30 FPS standard. It is not slow motion.
I wouldn't record at 60.
Ok so I've left the settings alone.
Seems like a cable transfer is the only way to keep the original iPhone video at the original resolution.
I wonder if Apple have considered an option for HD transfer?
On thinking about i it, it's probably not a good idea as files would be too large?
Drifting off slightly I wonder how the near proximity transfer softwares operate? For example Sony advertise it on their cameras. f it does retain the quality then perhaps we will see an Apple version.
