Q: Greyed out iDVD option on custom install from iLife 11
I have a 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 imac and am trying to install iDVD from an old iLife (11). I am installing from an exterior drive as the new mac doesn't have a superdrive and when it gets to the custom install the iDVD option is greyed out, any ideas?

Make sure there's no version of iDVD anywhere on the boot drive or any attached hard drive. If you can't find any iDVD app present you can always use the demo version of Pacifist to install the app and its themes from the the iLife 11 disk.
