Windows 8.1 bootcamp - HD3000 driver causes black screen

Hi,

I have installed windows 8.1 on bootcamp.

When I try install the drivers, the graphics drivers cause the screen to black mid way through the installation.

This happens when I install from the drivers from the Intel website and the drivers provided by bootcamp. The only workaround for this is to reset the computer and load in safe mode. Once the hd3000 drivers are disabled in the hardware settings, I can load windows as normal (albeit in a low resolution).

I have tried installing the drivers in safe mode with no success.

I do need the use of the graphics as most tasks are unusable without it. Anyone have some suggestions to repair this?

Thanks for the response. I've tried doing it the non-EFI method and after the bootcamp partition and restart, it loads up onto a black screen. I can get onto the alt option boot screen but selecting windows also takes me a black screen. I think that must be why I used the did boot on The last installation. Is there any workaround for this?
