Q: How do I get rid of the verification process when I try to buy a FREE app

IIt keeps making me verify my payment method when I want to buy a free app and I cant change my payment to "none"

as it won't let me

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.2

Any time you use the App Store it checks your payment method. If it is not valid you have to correct it, even for free apps. See: Creating an iTunes account without a credit card

In iOS 8.3 you can turn off payment verification for free applications. Settings --> iTunes and App Store --> Apple ID.

However, if you have TouchID enabled then you do not have the option to turn off entering your password to download a free app.
