I just got a new ipad mini. Can I use my old apple ID on the ipad mini. Or will I have to make another id?

Yes, you can use your existing Apple ID.

You can use the old one. It is especially important if you want to use music or apps that you have downloaded with the old ID.
You will want to use your old Apple ID so you can download the apps, etc., that you obtained under that ID. Content cannot transfer between Apple ID accounts.
Thank you everyone! I had the IPHONE 3GS a long time ago and had the user id and password written down. I signed onto my windows laptop as I wasn't sure if I could use that id. Thanks everyone
Apple IDs never really go away, they still exist. If you have problems remembering the password or things don't work right, go to http://iforgot.apple.com or to manage the account http://appleid.apple.com
