I just bought my macbook a few days ago, and it didn't come with iMovie. I tried downloading the app store version, but I don't have to software for that. So, I know I can order an earlier version of iLife. I just don't know which one has 10.0.6 iMovie on it. Help?
No retail iLife version has iMovie 10 or above; those are only available through the Mac App Store or bundled with Macs. If the Mac App Store won’t let you get it without paying, click here and contact Apple.

Not in your case; the second sentence above only applies to Macs which originally shipped with 10.7 or newer. Check the computer’s original disks, or buy a retail version of iLife, or upgrade the computer to Yosemite.

My macbook has OS X 10.10 Yosemite. But, the apple app store iMovie requires OS X 10.10.2
So, which ilife retail version would I go about getting or how would I go about upgrading?
Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu. If it’s running 10.10 or 10.10.1, open the Mac App Store and click on the Updates tab.
