I'm really new to the iCloud despite having it for the past 4 years and paying for it too! I paid for the iCloud when I had my old phone, so I didn't loose any photos of my newly born son, however, never thought about how to access it! I also had (have) an iPad; both of which were synced to the iCloud, but again I never checked.

I recently got a new iPhone and once again ensured I had it set up to the iCloud (as in, set it up on the phone).

Today I decided to access iCloud to view all my old photos - mainly because my new phone is already full and I wanted to check that the photos were there before I deleted them to make some room .... but I can't find them!

I am logged into the iCloud via my laptop and I can access contacts etc but not any photos; I've just downloaded the iCloud app onto my laptop and at least found some photos (all of 58!) but not all of them and certainly not from any of my other devices!

Any ideas/help ... PLEASE?!

Hey ksabbott,

It sounds to me like you have been using the My Photo Stream feature when you first started using it. If that is the case, then how that works is that when you take a photo, it will upload the photo when you to you’re my Photo Stream and stay in the cloud for 30 days. So if the iCloud app was installed on your computer, then it will download what was uploaded within the last 30 days. To make sure that you get your photos from all your devices, you can save the photos to the camera roll and then import them when you connect your iOS device to your computer. Now if you want to keep everything in sync with one another, then you will want to look at maybe using iCloud Photo Library t have the same library and not worry about having different photos on your devices.
