iMac 20 inch EMF shielding

I've just installed a new HDD in my 2006 iMac. It was impossible to salvage the shielding along the edges of the display.

Do I need special tape or can I use aluminum tape to replace the shielding? Thanks

Aluminum is a perfectly acceptable shielding material. Use caution not to create any conductive paths where there were none before.

Thank you so very much John. I'm a senior and this is my first time doing this kind of repair on my iMac. I followed instructions on youtube and

didn't have many problems except for the display edge shield which would not peel back as was shown. I should now be able (I hope) to

reassemble this beast. Again, thank you for the prompt reply.
