Had this macbook pro nearly 2 years ...really do not like it ....cant get used to it at all but got to persevere ....anyway just did an update and this won't go away ....any help much appreciated ....thank you x

Any OS X update triggers optimization, my guess, he installed Yosemite.
mac said i needed an update Ogel ... so clicked yes ...then that came up ...but i clicked on close which Csound1 suggested and the message has gone ...although I am hoping that all is completed! x

No, probably not complete yet, it's just not telling you now.

Your Mac will use extra battery power and generate extra heat during optimization, you may or may not notice it, it will end within an hour, usually less.

I still do not know exactly what the update was.
We treat all genders that same. If we do not know which it is, the default is male. 🙂

Depends on how close we get
since i have done that update my mac has a mind of its own and I have no idea how to fix it unless I take it to a shop ...the trackpad doesn't work properly ....things do things by themselves and I am going nuts! any ideas?
