Have a Mac and iPhoneset up with iCloud. Have been syncing calendar and contacts but has all of a sudden stopped syncing. Have double/triple checked that iCloud on the Mac and that iCloud on the iPhone are set up correctly and they are. But still not syncing. Thoughts?

You do not check setup, you check which device works with icloud and then troubleshoot the one that does not work.
How to check.
You add contact to iphone and check if it shows up in icloud.com. If it does phone is not a problem. If it does not you sign out of icloud on the phone and then sign back in.
You add contact to mac and if contact shows up in icloud - you do not touch mac and if it does not you sign out of icloud and sign back in.
Simple.
