Can someone please help me understand the difference between that word-VIRUS and malware. I had to return my Ipad air 2 due to problems with the device that just couldn't be fixed. I really loved it and want another, but how do I protect my apple products from virus/malware issues. It also got into my desktop!! Any ideas????

There are no viruses or malware that can affect a non-jail broken iPad. You are mistaken.
There are no viruses/malware affecting iOS devices, unless you jailbroke it.
What is the actual problem you were facing that you believe was caused by malware?
